Student Work Education Experience Program (SWEEP)

Maryound’s Student Work Education Experience Program (SWEEP) has several paid work placements available to youth supported by Marymound to help them gain work experience and build up their resume.

Youth are always working with workplace mentors who help teach, guide and role model appropriate work place behaviours. Youth participating in SWEEP learn transferable employment skills such as taking initiative, following direction, collaboration, responsibility and teamwork. Youth also experience increase in confidence, self worth and gain a sense of belonging.

As a SWEEP employer, you will have the satisfaction of knowing you are helping a young person gain experience and increased feelings of self-worth. You are playing an important role in the community, giving young people positive options for the future. This can make a real impact on a young mind, opening up opportunities and possibilities they may not have previously considered.

If there is a task that you/your staff needs done, but just can’t get around to, SWEEP can help.

The SWEEP team consists of:

Travis Liewicki, SWEEP Program Leader

MacKenzie Leschyson, SWEEP Workplace Mentor
