How long does the hiring process take?
It depends on the nature of the position. Sometimes, a new hire can start working within three weeks from their first contact with HR, but it may take longer. Often the delay is related to receiving reference checks and criminal record checks. If you have an interview, immediately let your references know we may contact them. We often send our reference checks via email.
What are the conditions of employment at Marymound?
You must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
For all positions, you’ll need to complete:
- Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
- Child Abuse Registry Check
- Prior Contact Check
- Some positions require Class 5 driver’s license, and satisfactory driver’s abstract
- First Aid & CPR
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention and ASIST Training are considered an asset
